Zatarain’s Stuffed Bell Peppers

Bell peppers stuffed with dirty rice, tomato sauce, and topped with mozzarella shredded cheese. These Zatarian’s Stuffed Bell Pepper are easy to make a delilous, making them perfect for dinner.

How to make stuffed Bell Peppers:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and spray a deep baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Crumble and cook ground beef until it is completely browned.
  3. Adding the ground beef and box of Zatarain’s Jamayla to a pot, cooked as directed.
  4. While the rice is cooking, cut off tops of each bell pepper, remove the seeds and membranes, add water and bell peppers to a large pot of water. Bring to boil. Let peppers boil for 10 minutes.
  5. Add peppers to baking pan and fill with the rice mixture.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, top with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Variations:

You can also add: diced peppers to the rice mixture, mushrooms, corn, celery or garlic.

Cheese: You can add also, top peppers with cheddar or parmesan cheese, or even a combination of cheeses.

Rice: Instead of dirty rice, you can use plain white rice, brown rice, or even yellow rice.

Storing Bell Peppers:

Bell peppers are best served hot out the oven, but if you do have leftovers, you can wrap them in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat peppers in microwave for 2-3 minutes.

What to serve with Stuffed Bell Peppers?

Stuffed Bell Peppers makes a meal by their self, but if you would like to serve them with a side salad or garlic bread.
