Southern Fried Okra is a southern classic. If you grew up in the southern united states then you know fried okra, fried squash, and fried green tomatoes are all summertime favorites during the summer month.
I prefer fresh okra, when cooking fried okra, but it’s not always available. If you don’t have fresh okra, you can use frozen okra and it will work just as good. Plus, when using frozen okra alot of the work is already done for you, being that it’s been washed, trimmed and cut already.
