Squash is a summertime favorite. Every summer my dad grows yellow squash in his garden. We always end up with so much squash. Some of my favorite Squash side dishes are Squash Casserole, fried Squash, and this amazing Sauteed Squash and onion dish. The squash and onion sauteed in butter give the squash such an amazing and buttery flavor.

How to make Sauteed Squash and Onions:

  1. First, add butter to a skillet over medium-high heat,
  2. Then, add the squash and onions to the pan. (The butter doesn’t need to be completely melted to add the squash and onions.) Cover and cook until tender about 10 minutes. (You will want to check the squash every few minutes to make sure it is not burning or sticking to the pan, if this happens you will need to add more butter.
  3. Remove from heat. Enjoy while warm.
