Roast Beef and Swiss Sliders

You have probably heard of ham and cheese sliders, they seem to get alot of hype, but what about roast beef and Swiss sliders?


These are a popular Roast beef and Swiss sliders make the perfect appetizer for tailgating, holiday parties, or even a dinner side. For the perfect dinner combination this fall, serve them with French Onion Soup.

Making Roast Beef and Swiss sliders ahead:

Roast beef and Swiss sliders can be made up to a day in advance. Make the sliders, cover them with refrigerator, when ready to serve reheat them in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes or until to completely warmed.

Equipment:

Ingredients:

Slider Rolls Such as Hawaiian rolls or dinner rolls.

Deli roast beef- You will need deli sliced roast beef. Roast beef will need to be thinly sliced.

Swiss cheese

mayonnaise

butter

brown sugar

Dijion mustard

Worcestershire

salt

poppy seeds-optional

How to put together Roast Beef and Swiss slider:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
  2. Split the buns in half. Setting the bottom layer into the baking dish and set the tops aside.
  3. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each roll, add roast beef slice and cheese to each bun.  Top with the top bun you have set aside.
  4. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together. Once the brown sugar has dissolved into the butter, remove the pan from heat and then whisk in the mustard, Worcestershire, and salt.
  5. Spoon the butter mixture over the sandwiches and then sprinkle them with the poppy seeds. Loosely cover the sliders with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and continue to bake until the top buns are golden brown, and the cheese has melted, about 8-10 more minutes. Serve warm.

Storage:

You can store leftover sandwiches in the refrigerator and reheat individual sandwiches in the microwave for 30 seconds or until warm.

1 pound deli slice roast beef (thinly sliced)

6 slices Swiss cheese

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

½ tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions
