Easy breakfast sausage quiche is a breakfast pie consisting of eggs, cheese and vegetables. It’s easy to make and kids will love it.

Sausage Quiche

Sausage Quiche is very similar to a sausage casserole, except it is baked in a pie shell. It’s like having pie for breakfast.

Can Sausage Quiche be made ahead?


Absolutely. I often make this quiche or Sausage Breakfast Casserole on Christmas eve, then just reheat on Christmas morning, so a quick and easy Christmas breakfast. You can also, make quiche in advance and freeze it. Let quiche thaw in refrigerator overnight before cooking.

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. (200 degrees Celsius). In a skillet using medium heat, cook sausage thoroughly and crumble. Drain any excessive grease. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine eggs, milk, green onions, ground mustard, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Add sausage to pie crust. Top with shredded cheese. Pour egg mixture over top.
  4. Cook in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.

Storage:

Quiche can be refrigerated for up two days. You can reheat individual pieces of quiche in the microwave. Quiche can also be frozen for up to three months.

Notes

I often make Quiche the night before, cover and place in the refrigerate and then reheat the next morning. Quiche can be placed on a microwave safe plate and heated in microwave for 1-2 minutes. Leftover quiche can be refrigerated for up to two days.
