This broccoli with cheese sauce is so easy to make, just make the cheese sauce and pour it over the broccoli for a cheesy and delicious side dish.

Broccoli with creamy cheese sauce is a great way to get picky eaters to eat their vegetables.

  1. Cook broccoli as directed.
  2. Melt butter in saucepan over medium-High heat.
  3. Whisk in flour. Cook until flour is browned. Slowly pour in the milk. Whisking the milk into the flour.
  4. When flour mixture begins to thicken and bubble mix in shredded cheese.
  5. Cook about 1-2 minutes until cheese sauce begins to bubble.

Notes:

Serve cheese sauce while hot.  Cheese sauce with become thick after it sits.

To reheat Cheese Sauce, you can place cheese sauce in a microwave safe dish for 30 seconds or heat on stove on low heat setting for about one minute.

Storing Cheese Sause:

Cheese sauce can be stored in a mason jar or another airtight container in the refrigerator up to a week or it can be stored in the freezer for up to a month.
