This Simple broccoli and cheese casserole is loaded with broccoli and cheese. It is creamy, cheesy and delicious. It’s the perfect addition to any holiday dinner.

Green Bean Casserole seems to get all the hype around the holidays. Don’t get me wrong I do enjoy green bean casserole, but have you ever had a broccoli and cheese casserole? This broccoli and cheese casserole is super easy to make with just a few simple ingredients.


My family has holiday traditions just like everyone else, but as I have started taking over most of the cooking and planning for holidays, I have started to change things up a bit. Sticking with older family traditions, but also adding some new traditions. Every Thanksgiving we have the same meal. I few years ago I wanted to make a new side dish. I decided to do a broccoli and cheese casserole. Over the years I have made changes to my original broccoli and cheese casserole, until I found one that my whole family just loved.

What is Broccoli and cheese Casserole?

Broccoli and Cheese Casserole is a casserole dish consisting of broccoli, cheese, cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, eggs, and onion. Mushroom soup, mayonnaise, cheese and eggs are mixed together, then mixed into the broccoli. The dish is then baked in the oven until creamy.

Ingredients

Instructions:

  1. First, preheat oven to 375. Cook broccoli as directed. While broccoli is cooking, in a large mixing bowl combine cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, beaten eggs, onion, cheese, salt, pepper and paprika. Stir together.
  2. Next, spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. Drain broccoli and transfer to baking dish. Pour soup mixture over top of broccoli. Mix together.
  3. Lastly, bake in preheat oven for 30 minutes.

Can you make Broccoli and Cheese Casserole in advance?

Sure, you can. You can make this casserole up to 24 hours in advance. Prep casserole as directed, cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator. Heat in the oven for 30 minutes and the casserole is ready to be served. Casserole is best severed immediately out the oven.

Store leftover casserole in the fridge for up to three days.

  • dash of paprika
