Are you patiently waiting for McDonald’s to bring back their classic McRib Sandwich? This Banquet McRib Sandwich will satisfy your craving in the meantime and makes for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Serve Banquet McRib Sandwich with chips, fries, Pasta salad or potato salad.
My husband and kids love the Mcdonalds McRib sandwich, but sadly its only offered for a limited time during the fall months. So, I started making my own using Banquet Family Size Backyard BBQ Boneless Patties, Frozen Meal. All you need to make your own McRib is a Banquet frozen meal, hoagie rolls, pickles and an onion, and because Banquet meals can be microwaved in just 7 minutes, you can bring dinner to the table in 10 minutes time.
The McRib is a barbecue-flavored pork sandwich periodically sold by the international fast food restaurant chain McDonald’s. It was first introduced to the McDonald’s menu in 1981, following test marketing the year before.
After poor sales, it was removed from the menu in 1985. Then, reintroduced in 1989, staying on the menu until 2005 in many countries. Since 2006, it has generally been made available for a short time each year in most markets where it is sold, typically during the fall season, although it is a permanent menu item at McDonald’s restaurants in German and Luxembourg.
The classic McDonalds version has onion and pickles, but you can add additional toppings that you prefer, such as, lettuce, banana peppers, or black olives.
