Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with aluminum and lightly grease with cooking spray.

Cut the jalapenos into two halves and remove the seeds and ribs from them. Rinse them with water and place on a paper towel to dry.

Step 3

In a mixing bowl mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper together. You can also add onion powder, but that’s optional

Fill the jalapenos with the cheese mixture

Wrap bacon strips around the jalapenos and secure them with the help of a toothpick

Step 6

Place the jalapeno peppers on the baking sheet and let it bake for 25 minutes Remove them after 25 minutes when the bacon is crispy and juicy

Ingredients

  • 12 jalapeno peppers
  • 1 ounce block of cream cheese (soften to room temperature)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. (200 degree Celsius). Cut peppers in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and ribs. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Fill each jalapeno half the cheese mixture.
  4. Cut bacon in half crosswise. Wrap each jalapeno half in a piece of bacon so the ends are tucked under the pepper. Use a toothpick to secure the bacon in place.
  5. Arrange peppers on baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until the filling is melted and the bacon is crispy.
  6. Remove peppers from oven. Let sit about 10 before serving. The filling will be very hot.
